This policy explains what personal information Service Starters ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
When you fill in the application form, we collect the details you give us: your first and last name, email address, mobile number, the service you're thinking of starting, where you're based, what you have in place to deliver the work, and anything you add about why you're applying.
When you browse the site, we also collect standard technical information automatically — the pages you view, your device and browser type, and approximate location — through cookies and tracking pixels.
Your application passes through Cloudflare Turnstile (which screens out automated spam) and is sent to a Google Apps Script endpoint, then stored in Google Sheets. Access is limited to Nik. We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel to measure traffic and campaigns. Each of these providers processes limited data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we only share it where it's needed to run the service or where the law requires it.
Our analytics and advertising pixels set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalisation through your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you applying.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Email hello@servicestarters.com.au and we'll action it, usually within 30 days. We keep application data only while it's relevant, and remove it on request.
